The D'Ann Danse Company, Inc. is a 501-3C non profit pro-am dance company. It was established to give the students in our Intensive Program the opportunity to travel, attend dance workshops, and perform Nationally. Dancers who successfully complete the audition process are then invited to become a member of the DDC. From our youngest Baby Dolls to our Senior Dance Company, DDC has entertained on both the local and international level as Maryland State Delegate Representatives.
The goal of our D'Ann Danse Company is to promote self confidence in each of its members through additional training, team work, and skill development. At the same time, students will learn responsibility for oneself, honesty, integrity, reliability, responsibility, generosity to others, making positive choices, and accountability for one's actions.
D'Ann Danse Studios and its instructors provide the best training possible in order to provide its members with the skills necessary to meet this goal. The staff also encourages periodic conferences with dance and parents to discuss individual progress.
Member are selected to join this elite performance group based on many elements including: talent, maturity, appearance, dedication, hard work, and parental support.
The DDS Intensive Dance Program is a coherent and integrated approach in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical Ballet, Jumps/Turns, Variety Dance, Hip Hop, and Performance. The Directors provide the skills necessary to be competitive in Scholarship Auditions and as employable professionals in the entertainment industry.
Upper level class time increases from 45 minutes to one hour or more. Private lessons are available for more intense training. The success of this approach is evidenced by the large number of former students who have received scholarships to prestigious schools and who are working around the world in the entertainment industry and the high regard DDS enjoys from professional directors, choreographers, and performers. Consequently, the program is more sophisticated than most other dance programs in this area and requires a great deal from its students & their parents.
